A Gargoyle in Middletown, Connecticut

I got a call from SCPS (Southern CT Paranormal Society) to come "read" a house. The owners are experiencing paranormal activity. I ask for the address and nothing more. We set a future date to meet at the house.
That night before I go to sleep I ask my guides to show me anything that is relevant to this case. "Something to go on" I ask. As I wake the next morning I get an impression of a window, with a grid, made of wood where each pane of glass is placed in the grid. In my vision I see, out of the upper right hand corner a serpents tail moving away from the window and in the next flash I see a woman. She has a "Gibson" hair do, high and full cheeks, seems to be happy but she definitely wears the pants in the family as I see the husband at least 10 steps behind her, he's smaller. This leads me to believe she was the stronger presence in the house. I also felt that they are the original owners of the home. "J" name possibly?
The following morning I wake to the smell of cigarette smoke. No one smokes in my house and I ran around frantically to find where the smell was coming from. I couldn't find it so I wrote it down with the impressions I got the morning before.
We finally meet at the house, it is dark out. I immediately look at the house from the street and want to go to the upper right hand corner of the house. I can feel an amazing energy there.It's like a pulling and pushing feeling, a pulsing of energy, a constant rhythm.
The owners tell me of their experiences. It is a young couple with a 2 year old son. The woman's mother also lived there and recently passed away. The ownership of the home dates back to her grandparents. She remembers strange things happening in the house as a child.
They are experiencing activity in the staircase, electrical disturbances and a door opening on it's own. As we are sitting at the dining table I am still feeling the rhythmic pulsing energy in that upper corner of the house, as she is talking I finally can't stand it anymore and say "What is up there" pointing to that upper corner of the house. She says "that's where it is all happening."
I want to go up there, right now.
We go up there and I try to make some kind of contact using EVP (electronic voice phenomenon) , however I do not get any evidence of anything or anyone. As we are up in that area of the house the owner tells me of a dream, about her Mom, how she was young and beautiful and they were getting ready to go out, and her Mom said ...oh I have to go and went into that upper right hand corner room and disappeared.
I continue to feel this amazing energy in the stairway and that bedroom that is situated in that upper right hand corner of the house, however I do not make any psychic contact.
The other members of the team are taking pictures and taking digital recordings as well.

That night, I review the EVP's, nothing. I have to wait to review the photo's with my partner Lori. Finally we look at them and well... nothing...at least not yet. In the mean time SCPS sends me some photos and what I see is a surprise to me. A Gargoyle! or a Griffin perhaps?

A majestic creature that looks cat-like to me. I start digging online to find out more. Not once did I feel any of this was negative in anyway, not even when I first saw the serpents tail. Gargoyles have come to be known as protectors and chase away evil spirits. Initially they were literally built to whisk water away from buildings, throwing it far from the corners to save and protect the buildings from decay. Now, they have truly taken on a life in another dimension.

I went to sleep that night asking my guides to tell me more. I needed to understand what was happening. I have a vivid full color dream that my guides take me back to the house in the day time. I look up and see the creature. A Gargoyle, huge, taking up the entire corner of the house. Massive wings and a long serpent like tail. I could see the front claws gripping the corner of the house. It does not greet us. It is scanning back and forth.

My guides finally speak, This creature has the highest order of protection for this gateway. It is it's job. This is the only way the Grandmother can pass back and forth to visit the baby. I understand completely. I do not question them further.

In conclusion to some of the impressions I received;
Why the smell of smoke?
The family are all smokers, including the Mom that passed in the house.
The "J" name?
The original owners of the home are Johnson
The door opening?
Mom; Grandmother to the little one coming to visit!
